Grace Gill Makes History As Tillies Take The Field.

CommBank Matildas V Argentina. Live & Exclusive On Network 10, 10 Play And Paramount+.

Australian football fans are in for an electrifying two-match international series as the CommBank Matildas take on Argentina, live and exclusive on Network 10, 10 Play and Paramount+.

But this series isn’t just about world-class football, it’s about making history.

The series kicks off this Friday, 30 May at Marvel Stadium, broadcast live and free on 10 and 10 Play, and streaming on Paramount+ from 7.30pm AEST.

In a landmark moment for Australian sports broadcasting, Paramount Australia football commentator, Grace Gill, is set to become the first-ever Matilda to be the main caller of a national football match, leading the commentary for the second match of the series in Canberra on Monday, 2 June, streaming exclusively on Paramount+ from 6.45pm AEST.

A former Matilda and Canberra United legend, Gill’s transition from the pitch to the commentary box has been nothing short of inspiring. Having made her mark as a talented expert co-commentator, she now takes centre stage in her home town where her professional football journey began.

Grace began her playing career in Canberra, making her way through to the Young Matildas and Matildas teams, representing Australia as the youngest of the 2006 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup squad in Russia.

A foundation member of the A-League Women and two time Premiership and Championship winning side, Canberra United, Grace amassed 58 appearances for the club and continues to be an important part of the Canberra United community.

With Australia already qualified for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026, this series is a crucial chance for the Matildas to fine-tune their form against Argentina ahead of next year’s tournament.

Adding to the weekend’s football fever, Melbourne will also host the Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final this Saturday, 31 May, in what promises to be a blockbuster first-ever Melbourne Derby decider between Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory. This historic showdown will see two cross-town rivals battle it out for championship glory, and you can catch it all live and exclusive on Network 10, 10 Play and Paramount+ from 7pm AEST.

Visit 10 Play for all the latest fixtures and make sure you’re locked in for every heart-pumping moment.
