Get ready for a flavourful ride from Monday 17 March as The Cook Up returns with a blockbuster new season you don’t want to miss! Jam-packed with deliciously exciting episodes and star-studded guests, tantalise your taste buds and warm your heart with great conversation, laughs, and show-stopping food every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm on SBS Food and SBS On Demand.

 

Since its launch, The Cook Up with Adam Liaw continues to attract a strong audience, reaching over 12 million broadcast TV viewers nationally[i]. Over the past impressive seven seasons and over 700 episodesAdam Liaw and a host of celebrity guests have inspired Australians to spice up their everyday cooking and stir up some creativity in the kitchen. Whether you need simple weeknight winners or elaborate dishes to delight, The Cook Up has the goods to help you reach culinary greatness.   

 

Join Adam as he invites some of the biggest names in sport, entertainment and food into the kitchen. Each night, guests share their favourite personal recipes, knowledge, and tips and tricks of the trade. 

 

This season,  incredible entertainers like Guy Sebastian, Kitty FlanaganDave Hughes, Alex Ward, Emma Watkins, Becky Lucas, and Sarah McLeod, greats in the culinary world including Marion GrasbyDuncan WelgemoedAdriano ZumboLuke Bourke, and Pingping Poh, and inspirational sporting heroes like Ariane TitmusVanessa LowTina Rahimi, and Jelena Dokic fire up the hot plates and get a plate ready at the esteemed bench.

 

But that’s not all. 

 

From Monday 2 June, join Adam and some very special guests and friends of SBS, as The Cook Up celebrates 50 years of SBS being a place where everyone can see themselves and feel they belong. To make the ‘big five-o’ a week to remember, renowned chefs Guillaume Brahimi, Maeve O’MearaMark Olive and Shane Delia, presenter and journalist Karla Grant, presenter and mathematician Lily Serna and Socceroos legend John Aloisi get to work at the bench for the perfect blend of food, chat and laughs.

 

Then, Adam once again commemorates Refugee Week from Monday 16 June by featuring some fabulous guests who share their personal stories and experiences. Adam is joined by inspirational guests Hedayat Osyan, George Najarian, Vanja Bulut, Anna-Mariia Mykytiuk and Jillian Nguyễn

 

Also, returning Monday 8 JulyNornie Bero of Mabu Mabu (Island Echoes with Nornie Bero) is back to host The Cook Up for NAIDOC Week, and share stories and create incredible dishes with guests including entertainer Jay Wymarra, the ‘Bush Tukka Woman’ Samantha Martin, comedian Andy Saunders, and journalist Rae Johnston.

 

Presenter, Adam Liaw, says “This season of The Cook Up might just be the most fun I've ever had in the kitchen. We have an amazing suite of guests bringing us food that is more practical, more delicious and more exciting than we've ever seen. They say you are what you eat, but I think you can tell even more about a person by what they choose to cook!"

 

An internal SBS production, The Cook Up will be available to stream on SBS On Demand with subtitling available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese and Korean afterwards. 

The Cook Up with Adam Liaw season eight will premiere on SBS Food and SBS On Demand from Monday 17 March. It airs Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday at 7pm. All episodes from previous series of The Cook Up are available to stream free on SBS On Demand.
