The Rookie goes global

Brand new season of The Rookie drops Monday, 8 June, exclusive to Seven and 7plus

The Rookie, 7plus’ most-streamed US drama, is back for its highly anticipated eighth season, available from Monday, 8 June, exclusively on Seven and 7plus.

Pulling in more than 6.9 million Australian viewers across Total TV during its seventh season, The Rookie has firmly established itself as one of the most talked-about dramas on television. In the upcoming season, the hit procedural broadens its scope internationally, with the LAPD team heading to Prague for a high-stakes global mission.

John Nolan (Nathan Fillion), alongside Detective Nyla Harper (Mekia Cox), firefighter Bailey Nune (Jenna Dewan) and FBI Supervisory Special Agent Matt Garza (Felix Solis), find themselves working in Prague with criminal Monica Stevens (Bridget Regan) to take down dangerous terrorists operating both within the United States and abroad.

Back home, Nolan faces major personal decisions when Bailey is presented with a career opportunity in Washington, D.C. With no option for a transfer, Nolan begins questioning whether he’s prepared to restart his career from scratch for the next chapter of their lives.

Meanwhile, fan-favourite couple Lucy Chen (Melissa O'Neil) and Tim Bradford (Eric Winter) deepen their relationship by moving in together, while Sergeant Wade Grey (Richard T. Jones) is presented with the chance to lead the joint taskforce, a move that could place pressure on his marriage. Wesley Evers (Shawn Ashmore) launches a campaign for Los Angeles District Attorney, supported every step of the way by his wife, Detective Angela Lopez (Alyssa Diaz).

The Rookie stars Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sgt. Wade Grey, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers, Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez and Derec Augustine as Miles Penn.
