Australian Idol returns in 2025 on 7

18th November 2024

Foot tapping, shoulder bouncing, goosebumps, and a burning urge to sing? If you have these symptoms, you could have Idol fever.

It’s highly infectious, and in a cheeky promo to launch the hotly anticipated 2025 season of Australian Idol, judge Marcia Hines comes down with the virus. Nervously sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's clinic, fellow judges Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands do not take the news well.

The soundtrack of the new promo features an exciting collaboration with Hines and ARIA-Award-winning DJ and producer Sgt Slick, who has sprinkled some 2024 magic on Marcia's 1976 disco classic, I've Got The Music In Me.

Primed for dance floors across the Australian summer, Marcia's stunning all-new vocal performance is masterfully engineered with Slick's impeccable production.

I've Got The Music In Me is a contagious, funked-up disco house anthem that brilliantly combines the talents of Australia's foremost disco diva with one of our best producers.

"I'm overjoyed to be working with my dear friend and brother, Sgt Slick," explains Marcia. "I couldn't be happier with how he's brought new life and energy to my song.

“This is such a special moment, especially as we celebrate the incredible young talent coming through on Australian Idol. I can't wait to see where their journeys take them," said Marcia.

If you have Idol fever' there is only one treatment: Take the full course of Australian Idol, three nights a week. If symptoms persist, you can get a booster on 7plus.
